So, Is this A Vibrator????

A few weeks ago, an ex-bf of mine messaged me a pic... He found this item in his current girlfriend's drawer. It's gold and smooth, and buzzes when switched on. Then he asked me - "So, is this a vibrator or facial massager?"
His girlfriend told him it's for facial massage and he was skeptical. BAHAHAHAAAAA

I told him the truth.

That thing is indeed a face massager (I've seen this product online before). I've never tried it because I don't think it would really work that well for the face. In order to vibrate at the intensity to send molecules of gold (or whatever) into the skin, I reckon would take more power than a battery vibrating thing lah. So gimmicky.

But then it occurred to me, with vibrators and sex toys becoming so discreet, innovative and so pleasing to the eye these days, you can hardly tell anymore... what's a sex toy and what's not???
Beautiful modern necklace.. yes... but it's also a vibrator. Actually, now that I keep looking at this picture, I WANT this necklace! Very edgy chic.
This is not a lollipop. It's a vibrator.
Nope, not a paperweight. It's a vibrator.

This rubber duckie is a vibrator.
Is that a thumbdrive? Nope! It's a vibrator.
Something for oral hygiene? Nope.... you know the answer by now.

Vibes are getting so discreet and luxurious at the same time. For those who want discretion, these new trend in vibes makes it so hard to tell that it's really a sex toy.

Personally, I don't think I need to conceal a vibrator. There's no shame in having sex toys. But I do appreciate the aesthetics of a discreet one. Some look like pieces of art! So Pretty!! Gone are the days of the ugly (veiny) penis dildo. Those are only good for flinging around as a joke on some hen night party. LOL.

But of course, some of these are more showy than pleasurable. Just need to keep a few things in mind when you are buying one. These are the must have features of a vibrator (in my opinion), no matter how cute or beautiful it looks.

1. Powerful motor. When it comes to the mechanism inside, you definitely get what you pay for. Cheapo ones have crap motors that are weak (read: not very pleasurable) and will usually get spoilt easily. For recognized brands, the materials are all high quality and there's usually a warranty on the motor.

2. USB charging. I hate using batteries in vibes because they are costly (those tiny round little batteries are like $4 a pop. One vibe can take anything from 4 to 8 of those usually. And they don't last long. You will end up spending more on batteries than the initial cost of the vibrator itself. Trust me. With USB charging, you can plug into your laptop and charge easily. I use the same USB adaptor thingy my iphone uses to charge my toys. Simples!

3. Waterproof... or at least splash proof. This gives you more options, like using it in the shower. It also makes for  much easier cleaning & hygiene.

4. Ergonomic. Whatever shape it is.... does it have a pointy bit? And is there intense vibration coming from the pointy bit? This is important for a vibrator (for me).

5. Quiet. Ok this is not of like utmost importance. But is a good bonus to have a silent or less buzzy one.

Show you my latest toy... Twenty One - The Vibrating Diamond by bijoux indiscrets. Got it from LoveLoveNotes.com  for S$115
This is a one stop site for all girls. I like their concept. The site is bright and breezy, lots to browse. Products. Reviews. Helpful articles. Like how to use a vibrator, how to do kegel exercises, etc.

This Vibrating diamond is so pretty... comes in a glossy gold package and the diamond is nestled inside a black jewellery type box.

This performs well as a vibrator. It provides precise stimulation, and has 7 patterns and 3 vibration intensities. Easy to use too, just one button which you can click to adjust the vibration pattern and intensity.

The motor/mechanism is powerful but silent. Thumbs up for the high quality, glossy finish. It's made of very solid material (doesn't feel light and cheap). This is also waterproof!! Completely submersible, no problem! Just need to twist open the diamond head and you can charge it via USB. Once you close it, everything inside is watertight.
The size and shape is gives you options and variety of use... there a flat top for areas where you would like the vibration to be evenly spread out. If you want to focus the vibration on a single point (e.g. clit), use the pointed bottom bit of the diamond. The sides of the diamond are like midway between the flat top and the pointy bottom. It's an inbetween sort of intensity.
You don't have to hide this beauty in your drawer. Leave it on your bedside table. If your BF asks what it's for.. say it's a neck massager (Kidding!! Just tell him la. Otherwise they will start sending me pictures and asking me what it is. lol)

    1. This dress and bra makes me look huge I admit. But normally in other clothes, it doesn't look like this at all.

And my boobs are bigger than before. Not surgery or fake, I promise.

    Love this review, Holly!

Do you have any advice on this situation I'm having, though?
I've difficulties in achieving orgasm except with the help of my vibe. I'm unsure if this is a problem. My bf certainly doesn't mind it. He loves watching me get off with the gadget every time. And him using the vibe on me has been quite a major feature in our sex play. I’m personally quite disturbed by this. Don’t get me wrong. As much as I welcome the vibrator, thing is I used to be able to climax by him performing oral on me. But I find that I’m no longer as sensitive to his oral stimulation as before.

I realised this was a problem when we had sex during our vacation 3 months ago. I couldn’t climax! We didn't have the vibe on hand for that extra help. Just imagine, for someone who’s used to enjoying deep and strong orgasms every time through the help of the vibe, I was left high and dry, and couldn’t get any fix for 3 days until I came home.

My bf too was a little concerned initially. But he soon didn’t find it an issue any longer once we were back in SG, and managed to get the help of the vibe every time we got intimate. We’ve made attempts to go cold turkey from the vibe once in a while, but that usually left me sexually frustrated and my bf unsatisfied too. As a partner, my bf is a generous giver. That’s why he’ll find our intimate encounter incomplete as long as I haven’t climax. As for me, I could still manage the frustration after a couple of sessions not climaxing, but I usually caved in by the third encounter (which usually is about 2 weeks) and would not stop my bf if he started to bring in the vibrator again.

Do you encounter such problems too?

    1. Haven't encountered it to that extent.
Though I have to say I can't use my fingers anymore lol. Like if there's no vibe and I use my fingers, takes a whole lot more effort and it's not as intense an orgasm. A bit disappointing lol

Have u tried going cold turkey for a few weeks? heard it helps but I've never tried

To the girl who can't climax without a vibrator:

Are you on any new medication? Some medication can affect our so sexual performance eg. Birth control, antidepressant, etc.

And people who rely on vibrators do tend to get less sensitive and need stronger stimulation to get off. It's kinda like alcohol, you do tend to build a tolerance on it. The nerves just get less and less sensitive.
