Liven Up Your Wardrobe with Colours and Prints

Today's post is all about injecting life into your everyday style by incorporating 3 simple (and long lasting) trends into your wardrobe. All the items featured in this post are from online store MySpiritInc (where my readers get 10% Off with discount code HOLLYJEAN).

1. Statement Colours
Bold and bright shades are eye catching plus they give a fun and fresh feel. They are surprisingly easy to wear too...
Sylvie Back Panel Dress ($42.20). The boxy fit and mini length of this dress makes it the ideal day casual dress. I love the vibrant pop of pink colour.
It has 2 large flat pockets on each side.
The unique feature of this dress are the two overlapping panels at back. Best worn with ballet flats or sneakers. Oh I so want these Cat High Cut Sneakers it would go perfectly with fun and bright dresses.

For a more formal event, switch your old LBD for an LCD (Little Coloured Dress) in a statement colour. Show your fun side. How about a neon? Toorak Girl Neon Green Slim Dress.

2. Pastel Colours
Do you swoon over soft candy cupcake coloured stuff? I know I do. Soft pastel hues like powder blue, dusty pink, lilac, spearmint and pale yellow are very easy to mix into your wardrobe.
A dress like this TwatV Neckline Bodycon Dress (On sale, only $18.90 now!) is a sweet pastel  pink but it's not at all cupcake-ish or kiddy. In fact, this dress design is pretty damn sexy with the bodycon stretchy fit and the unique sleeves. Looks great when paired with those printed shoes, or you could wear it with nude heels, or classic black pumps.
Don't forget to add some pastels to your shoe rack too. These Preen Pastel Wedges are chic and feminine. Would go great with summer dresses and dresses with prints... which brings me to the third trend...

3. Interesting Prints
Graphic prints or busy patterns a hot hot trend right now. You can bring your wardrobe bang up-to-date simply by adding a fun printed item to the mix.
Whether it's for poly/uni or for work, you can easily throw on this Peacock Print Jacket  over your tank and jeans or over a plain fitted black dress. It's practical and a great way to update your look.
But I simply adore graphic print dresses. I love the Seattle Printed Mini Dress because the colours are attractive, the print pattern is an interesting mish mash and everything looks so pretty together.

Have fun with your wardrobe and enjoy dressing up. When shopping at MySpiritInc, don't forget to use the discount code HOLLYJEAN at checkout to get 10% Off your bill. :)
