I just tried the Vichy Essentielles range.
Their products are Paraben-free, hypoallergenic and very suitable for sensitive skin. Some key ingredients I love in this range are the Rose Gallica extract, Shea Butter, hydrating Glycerin and Thermal Spa Water.
Thumbs up for the pretty packaging. Yay pink! And to my delight, the prettiness didn't stop there. It smelled so pretty too.
.
Facial Cleanser
Has a heavy consistency but foams up easily. It's not too drying... I guess it's because of the glycerin it contains... and it can also remove make up. But I need to use my eye make up remover to fully remove my stubborn waterproof mascara.
.
Face Emulsion
This is a medium textured moisturiser. Absorbs fairly quickly, very lightly scented. I noticed my skin feel softer upon application. :)
.
Softening Shower Gel
This smells like an expensive shower gel. Light and lingering floral scent (not cheap and over powering). It did not dry my skin out. I love this product! My favourite item of this whole range.
Body Cream Milk When I squirted this out, it appeared more fluid than I expected. (Like duh HJ! It's a milk, not a cream!) But even though it's a milky body moisturiser, it did leave a film over my skin. Some people like this dewey moisturised feeling on their skin, some people don't. I don't mind it, as long as it keeps my skin moist! Layering (the wash and then the moisturiser) is good because it makes the delicate floral scent linger on.
.
My Verdict: This range is a basic care range that is very affordable (between SG$11.90 - SG$16.90 each) and of great quality ingredients. Plus, Vichy has always been a name you can trust. It's not targetted at special concerns such as anti-aging, or whitening etc... but it is a very good basic set. Suitable for all skin types and for those who like it very easy (just cleanse and moisturise!).
.
Vichy wants to reward one of my readers. You will win one set of Vichy Essentielles Products (fulls size!).
