Extra Discounts for Travel

We all know there are websites which compare prices of air tickets and hotels, so you can see which sites are offering the best deals for your holiday destination. But have you tried using Voucher codes while booking the best deals?

I came across Voucher Codes when I was searching where to find last minute hotel deals. It lists all the current deals you could take advantage of when making your hotel booking. Like a voucher code to use at Expedia.com for up to 75% off on Bangkok hotels, $28 per day car rental deals and Singapore to New York flights starting from $1002 !!!

They always say it's cheaper to book things like flights and hotels way in advance, but if you can't plan that far ahead (it's costlier to change or cancel those early bird bookings!!) then you can always score major discounts with last minute travel deals. After all, companies would rather fill up the empty seats on a flight or occupy all available rooms in their hotel at a reduced rate rather than earn nothing at all from it.

And the discount codes extend to most of the major booking sites too, like hotels.com where you can use voucher codes to get extra cheap hotels for your holiday. Some of those which caught my eye were Hong Kong hotels at half price, one night free stay with every 10 paid nights, and up to 90% off on Tokyo hotels! Say what?!

The Travel & Holidays category at VoucherCodes.com.sg has deals for cheap flights, accommodation, Konsortium bus tickets, Rail Europe train passes, Staycation deals in luxury Singapore hotels and even recreational activities like Universal Studios Singapore discount tickets.

Did the travel bug bite you yet? Go have a click around and get a rough idea of the cost of your next holiday, you would be surprised at how affordable it can be if you just take advantage of the deals available. I've been trying to plan a vacation, but I find that it's hard to decide, with all those choices available. Plus need to act fast to get the great deals, especially the last minute ones.

We're heading off real soon... though I must say I am quite nervous to travel with a new baby... I'll just trawl for the best deals first and then decide where to go to. On a side note, parents who have travelled with infants, how do you handle in flight crankiness or melt downs???

  1. We did overnight flight so that she could sleep most of the journey, but that was when she was much older, around 10 months? Delay the last feed before boarding and feed her at take off! If baby gets cranky nonetheless just stay calm, remind urself your bb's comfort comes first before stressing over adults' annoyance ;) Babywear, it blocks out stimulation and offers maximal comfort.
